Noah Beck joined the Cornell women's swimming and diving program as an assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season, bringing more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience and a track record of conference championships at every stop of his career.
In his first season on the deck, Big Red swimmers broke three individual and two relay school records and added a total of 40 new marks to the all-time top 10 lists. The Big Red placed sixth at the Ivy League Championships with 614.5 points, its highest team finish since 2010 and its most points scored since 2017 (653).
Beck arrived at Cornell after three seasons at Ithaca College, where he served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's program, as well as assistant aquatics coordinator. During his tenure, the Ithaca women's team won three consecutive Liberty League Championships (2022-25) and the coaching staff was honored as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year for 2024-25. In 2024-25, the Ithaca men's program also turned in a runner-up finish at the Liberty League Championship, tallying 1,524 points, while All-American James Collishaw broke his own program record in the 100-yard freestyle (43.87) at the 2024 NCAA Division III championships, good for seventh place.
Prior to his time at IC, Beck spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland, where he led the IM and stroke group as the Red Dragons finished second at the SUNYAC Championship, broke three school records and posted a pair of NCAA B cut times.
Beck's first head coaching post came at Marywood (2016-18), where he directed the men's and women's swimming & diving program. Under his leadership, Marywood produced its first individual conference champions since 2011, set 22 school records and earned Scholar All-American recognition in four straight semesters.
Beck previously was on staff at SUNY Geneseo (2014-16) as an assistant coach and aquatics manager. The Knights broke 17 conference records, produced four All-Americans and won four conference championships during his tenure, and the staff was named SUNYAC Staff of the Year in 2016. He also served as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland from 2013-14 and spent nearly a decade with the Cortland YMCA Stingers (2008-15), the final four years (2010-14) as head coach, guiding a roster of 80 swimmers that produced five YMCA National Qualifiers and the club's first YMCA National Finalist in over a decade.
Beyond the pool deck, Beck served as Chief Executive Officer of the Cortland County Family YMCA from 2018-22, where he directed association operations, managed a staff of more than 60 employees and led a working strategic plan for the organization. He has also held leadership roles with the Seven Valleys Health Coalition and NY Alliance of YMCAs boards of directors, and is an American Red Cross-certified Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR instructor.
A 2004 graduate of Connecticut with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Beck swam the fly and distance freestyle events for the Huskies. He went on to earn a master's degree in Environmental Forest Biology/Biology Education from SUNY ESF/Syracuse University in 2011.
