Biography
As a senior (2019-20)
• Competed for the Big Red throughout the first half of the season before graduating after the fall semester.
• Posted a pair of top-five finishes in the 1-meter (255.00) and 3-meter (262.65) diving at Akron’s Zippy Invitational, placing fifth and recording season-best point totals in both events.
• Finished third in the 1-meter and 3-meter against Binghamton, helping Cornell to the team victory.
As a junior (2018-19)
• Did not see varsity action.
As a sophomore (2017-18)
• Named the team's Diving MVP at the postseason banquet.
• Scored in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at the Ivy League Championship.
• Took 16th in the 3-meter with a score of 206.65, a mark that is fourth all-time at Cornell.
• Also scored in the 1-meter with the fourth-best score in school history (228.20), a total that was good for 14th overall.
• Won the 3-meter competition in the dual meet against Brown.
• Took first on the 1-meter and was second on the 3-meter board against St. Bonaventure.
• Had a second (3-meter) and a fourth (1-meter) at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
As a freshman (2016-17)
• Competed in one varsity meet, diving in an open competition with Binghamton and New Hampshire.
Prior to Cornell
• LaCasse was a four-year member of the diving team at International Academy.
• Part of four state team qualifiers.
• Set Bloomfield HS 6- and 11-dive records, as well as Clarkston HS's 6-dive mark.
• Won a league title in 2014 and placed second in 2015.
• Named team captain as a senior.
• Earned academic all-state and All-America honors in 2015.
Personal
• Erika Victoria LaCasse is the daughter of Mark and Elisa LaCasse and has an older sister.
• Her father, uncle and aunt all attended Cornell.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
