2023-24 | SENIOR SEASON
Elected as one of Cornell's tri-captains ... swam in all nine meets, including the Zippy Invite and Ivy Championship ... opened season with a meet-best 24.17 to grab gold in the 50 Freestyle against Binghamton ... also pushed Big Red to runner-up spot in 200 Medley Relay (1:47.14) with squad-best 23.81 split as final swimmer in pool ... grabbed third in 50 Freestyle versus St. Bonaventure ... was the third swimmer in the pool in Cornell's runner-up time of 3:23.13 in the 400 Freestyle Relay that clinched the team's first win over Harvard since 1983 ... competed in five events at Zippy Invite, earning 199 combined points ... swam a season-best 23.43 in 50 Freestyle to grab 25 points and clocked a 23.04 split as the third swimmer in the pool to help Cornell to third overall in the 400 Freestyle Relay ... helped Big Red to a runner-up spot in 400 Freestyle Relay (3:22.58) in final meet of regular season against Brown ... earned a 23.00 time to push Cornell to a program record time of 1:31.04 and 50 points in 200 Freestyle Relay at Ivy Championship.
2022-23 l JUNIOR SEASON
Appeared in all regular season meets as well as the Ivy League Championship ... secured her first podium of the season from a third-place finish against Penn and Princeton in the 50-Yard Freestyle ... helped her 200-Yard Freestyle team to four podium finishes including an outright win against Binghamton.
2021-22 l SOPHOMORE SEASON
Competed in all eight meets, including the Zippy Invitational ... at St. Bonaventure, finished third in the 50-yard freestyle and won the 200-yard freestyle relay ... helped win the 200-yard freestyle relay against Columbia with a time of 1:38.89 ... placed atop the podium against Binghamton in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.43 and 52.59, respectively.
2020-21 l FRESHMAN SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PRIOR TOÂ CORNELL
Earned NISCA All-America honors in each of her four years at New Trier HS (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20) ... swam a leg on New Trier’s 200-medley relay that holds the IHSA State Championship record (1:40.43) ... four-time Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Finalist (2016, 17, 18, 19) ... member of New Trier’s school record-holding 200-medley, 200-freestyle, and 400-freestyle relay teams ... competed on the club circuit for New Trier Aquatics ... five-time National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Championships qualifier and finalist throughout high school campaign.
PERSONAL
Joelle Maiya Ohr is the daughter of Peter and Julie Ohr and has two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister ... her brother, Pierson Ohr, swam for the Big Red men's team (Class of ’22) ... she is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
