Biography
At Cornell
Jerome provided the team with another outstanding season in 2012-13 and showed off her versatility as well as her talent. She competed in at least seven different individual events over the course of the season: the 200 and 500 free, the 100 and 200 breast, the 200 fly and the 200 and 400 IM. Jerome was awarded the team’s Hardest Worker Award to go along with her Team Spirit Award from the previous season. For a third consecutive season, she was a member of the Cornell squad that competed at the Ivy League Championships. She appears on the team’s career top 10 list in four individual events: sixth in the 400 IM, fourth in the 200 breast, third in the 200 IM and second in the 100 breast. Her teammates and the coaching staff elected Jerome captain of the 2013-14 women’s team. She was selected as the recipient of the team’s Hardest Worker Award. The team's Spirit Award winner in 2012, Jerome capped off a successful season by breaking the school record in the 100 breast (1:03.01).
At Cheshire HS
Jerome was a four-time All-American in the 100 breast and served as team captain as a senior at Cheshire HS. A four-team all-area, all-league and all-state pick, she holds the school record in the 100 breast. Her team holds the record for most consecutive dual meet wins and haven't lost a dual meet since 1986.
Personal
Kim Frances Jerome is the daughter of Jerry and Kathy Jerome and has three older brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
