2025-26 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Helped Cornell place fifth in the 400 Freestyle Relay and sixth in the 200 Freestyle Relay at the Ivy League Championships ... contributed to the Big Red’s runner-up 400 Freestyle Relay at the Zippy Invitational ... swam on Cornell’s victorious 400 Freestyle Relay against Columbia.

2024-25 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Earned runner-up honors in the 200 Freestyle against Le Moyne ... contributed to second-place finishes in both freestyle relays at the Boston Winter Open.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Tangen swam four years for Princeton HS … named team captain her senior year (2023-24) … part of the 2023 state championship-winning team and 2024 state runner-up team … a three-time Meet of Champions individual qualifier in swimming (2022-24) … holds the school's 200 free relay record … also a four-year member of the cross country and track & field teams, earning 12 varsity letters across all three sports … a cross country team captain in 2023, winning sectional titles in 2020 and 2023 and a county title in 2021, and qualifying for states in 2022 and 2023 and the Nike Cross Country Northeast Regionals in 2021-23 … a track & field team captain in 2024, qualifying for the Meet of Champions in 2023 and 2024 and setting a school record in the 4x1600 at the 2024 New Balance Nationals … also swam for Princeton Piranhas Swim Team, where she holds the team record in the 50 and 100 freestyle.

PERSONAL
Kyleigh Tangen is the daughter of Ashleigh and Robert Tangen, and has one younger sister … she is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
