Biography
At Cornell:
Luedke solidified her leadership status as a junior and has added experience to a very young sprint group, as well as leading the team out of the pool. She had personal season-best times of 25.65 in the 50 free and 57.14 in the 100 free. As a freshman, Luedke was primarily a sprint freestyle specialist, but in her sophomore campaign, a stint in the backstroke events was included. She is also a contributor on relays, doing freestyle and medley relay events, and she is a member of the 200 free relay team that now ranks fifth on Cornell’s all-time performance list. Coming off a summer of solid training, Luedke is fit, ready to race and is expected to have an outstanding senior season. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
At Sheboygan South:
A four year letter winner at Sheboygan South HS, Luedke was team captain for two years and received all-state honorable mention recognition. In addition, she was all-conference and was a member of both the 200 free and 200 medley relay teams that hold the Sheboygan South records.
Personal:
Laura E. Luedke is the daughter of Scott and Diane Luedke and has one younger sister.
