At Cornell
Lynch emerged as one of the top divers for the Big Red during her freshman year. At the three meter dive, she posted a score of 161.05 at the Ivy League Championship, which was the sixth best score at Cornell since the competition was reformatted to six dives in 2006.
At Hillsborough
A four-year competitor and letterwinner in gymnastics at Hillsborough HS, Mary Kate Lynch served as her team's captain. She was the school record holder on floor exercise from 2005-08 and was part of a team that had the highest scoring in state history.
Personal
Mary-Katherine Lynch is the daughter of Thomas and Debbie Lynch, and she has one older brother. She is enrolled in Cornell's College of Human Ecology.
