Biography
At Cornell:
After a back injury got her season off to a rough start, Flaherty was able to battle back and compete in several dual meets during her freshman year. She is a valuable relay swimmer and had a personal season-best time of 1:05.96 in the 100 back. Flaherty hopes to keep building her strength for a successful sophomore year. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
At Harbor Fields:
A two-time captain of her team at Harbor Fields HS, Flaherty set six team records and received All-County and All-State honors. She also won the team’s MVP, coaches and team sportsmanship awards.
Personal:
Meagan E. Flaherty is the daughter of Fredrick and Elizabeth Flaherty, and she has three sisters.
