At Cornell
Orbon competed in a variety of events for the Big Red, including 500 and 1000 freestyle, 100 and 200 backstroke and 200 and 400 IM. On the season’s best times list she was ranked second in the 400 IM; third in the 1000 freestyle; fourth in the 200 backstroke; fifth in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and sixth in the 200 freestyle. On the team’s all-time top 10 list, Orbon is ranked fifth in the 400 IM; ninth in the 200 backstroke and 10th in the 200 IM.

Prior to Cornell
Orbon was a USA Swimming All-American in four relay events and a Scholastic All-American in 2013 at Glenbrook North HS. She was a four-year state qualifier and a state finalist in five events during her last two seasons. Orbon was named the school’s Outstanding Female Athlete as a senior after winning a sectional title and setting a pool record in the 200 IM as a senior. She also served as captain in her final season and won the team MVP and graduated with team records in the 200 IM and 200 medley relay. Orbon swam club for Glenbrook Aquatics, qualifying to NCSA junior nationals in her final two seasons. She posted top 10 times in the state in the 100 free, 100 back, 200 free, 200 back, 200 IM and 400 IM.

Personal
Margaret Mary Orbon is the daughter of James and Lorraine Orbon and has an older brother and two older sisters. Her father played water polo and golfed at Loyola University. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
