As a junior (2016-17)
• Did not compete.

As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Competed in five dual meets as a sophomore in 2015-16.
• Had a best finish of third in the 200 free in a dual meet win over Binghamton.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• Made the Ivy League Championship team in the 100, 200 and 500 free.
• Finished second in both the 200 and 500 free in the dual meet against Brown.
• Had the team’s sixth-fastest time on the season in both the 200 and 500 free.

Prior to Cornell
• Kannan placed in the top three at the state championship meet in both the 50 and 100 free as a senior captain at Walt Whitman HS.
• She earned second-team All-Gazette honors in each of her final two seasons and was an honorable mention All-Met pick by the Washington Post all four seasons.
• She was a member of the school’s 200 free relay squad that earned U.S. Swimming All-America honors in 2011 and 2012.
• Kannan earned invites to compete at junior nationals as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Personal
• Sarah Hui-Hsiang Kannan is the daughter of P.K. Kannan and Ai-Mei Chang and has two older brothers and two younger sisters.
• She is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
