2013-14 Women's Swimming and Diving Roster
Biography
At Cornell
Ah-Quah continued to contribute mightily to the team, especially in butterfly and backstroke. She also added a little sprint freestyle to her repertoire. Ah-Quah posted the season’s fastest time in the women’s 100 back, the second-fastest time in the 100 fly, and the third-fastest time in the 200 back. She accomplished all of this despite suffering a mid-season injury that knocked her out of action for several weeks. She also represented Cornell at the Ivy League Championships for the third straight season. Ah-Quah currently ranks in the Cornell all-time top 10 list in four individual events: she ranks eighth in the 200 back, sixth in the 200 fly, fourth in the 100 back and fourth in the 100 fly.
Prior to Cornell
A two-time team captain and three-time team MVP at South Pasadena HS, she graduated with schools records in the 100 back, 100 fly and 200 free relay. An NISCA All-American as a senior, Ah-Quah was named team rookie of the year as a freshman. The four-year letter winner was a division finalist all four seasons and and qualified for the masters division in each of her final three years. Ah-Quah was named the school's senior athlete of the year and the female scholar-athlete of the year in her final season. She swam for the South Pasadena Sea Tigers club, earning a coach's award each year and capturing USA Swimming Scholastic All-America accolades as a junior and senior.
