Cornell University Athletics

As a senior (2017-18)
• Finished second in both the 100 and 200 back at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.
• Had three top four finishes in dual meet races during the year.
• Took third in the 200 back against MIT.

As a junior (2016-17)
• Set the school record in the 200 back (2:00.22) at the 2017 Ivy League Championships.
• Won the C level final in the 100 back in 55.92, good for fifth all-time at Cornell.
• Led off the 400 medley relay that posted the third-fastest time in school history at the Ivy meet.
• Earned a victory in the 200 back against Columbia.
• Posted top 10 efforts in the 200 back (eighth), 50 back (10th) and 100 back (10th) at the Akron Zippy Invitational.
• Swam career-best times in the 100 and 200 back and the 200 IM during the season.

As a sophomore (2015-16)
• Won the C level final in the 200 back at the 2016 Ivy League Championships with a 2:01.50, good for fourth all-time at Cornell.
• Placed 14th overall in the 100 back in 56.33, moving her into the top six all-time for the Big Red.
• Registered six second place individual finishes in dual meets, including both the 50 free and 100 back in the dual meet win over Coglate.
• Had the team’s second-fastest times of the season in both backstroke events.

As a freshman (2014-15)
• Made the Ivy League Championship meet in the 100 and 200 back and the 50 free.
• Posted the team’s fasted time in the 100 back during the season with a 56.48 and the second fastest in the 200 back (2:03.43).
• Her best time in the 50 free (24.15) was sixth on the team.
• She won four dual meet races for the Big Red, touching the wall first in both backstroke events against both Columbia and Colgate.

Prior to Cornell
• A two-time U.S. Swimming All-American, Wilson set six school records (100 back – both yards and meters; 200 medley relay – both yards and meters; 200 free relay – both yards and meters).
• The four-time Northeast Tennessee Female Swimmer of the Year (2011-2014), Wilson was also a four-time first-team all-conference swimmer.
• She was a U.S. Swimming Academic All-American as a senior captain.

Personal
• Tessa Michelle Wilson is the daughter of Gary and Frances Wilson and has an older brother and sister and a younger brother.
• Her older brother, Taylor, was a four-year member of the Cornell men’s swim team and was team captain as a senior.
• Her sister, Rachel, was a member of the Connecticut College swim squad.
• She is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
