Biography
Prior to Cornell
• 2018 GHSA Region 4A State Qualifier in the 200-meter, 400-meter, 4x100-meter relay, and 4x400-meter relay.
• Helped her Woodward Academy team to a runner-up finish at the 2018 GHSA State Championship.
• Guided Woodward Academy to three-straight GHSA 4A Region Championships (2017, 18, 19).
• Crowned the 2019 GHSA 4A Sectional Champion in the 400-meter, while helping her 4x400-meter relay team to a sectional championship as well.
• Recipient of Woodward Academy Track & Field's 2019 War Eagle Most Valuable Athlete Award.
• Named the 2018 Eddie Hart Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
• Competed on the club circuit for the Quick Silver Track Club (2016-18) and the Take Off Track Club (2019).
• Six-time USATF All-American.
• 2019 USATF Junior Olympic National Champion in the 4x400-meter dash for the women's 17-18 division, also helping her 4x100-meter relay team place fourth.
• Won silver in the 4x800-meter relay and bronze in the 4x400-meter relay at the 2018 USATF Junior Olympic National Championship for the girls' 15-16 division.
• Placed third in the 4x800-meter relay and fourth in the 4x400-meter relay at the 2016 USATF Junior Olympic National Championship.
Personal
• Alexa Marie Richardson is the daughter of Rickey and Kendra Richardson and has a younger brother.
• She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
