• Did not compete in any track meets.

As a Freshman (2016-17)
• Did not compete in any track meets.

Before Cornell
• Qualified for the 2015 USATF National Junior Olympics in high jump, long jump, 400 meter hurdles, javelin and heptathlon and qualified for the USATF World Youth Trials in the heptathlon.
• Was an All-American at the 2014 USATF Youth National Championships, where she placed fifth in high jump and heptathlon.
• In 2016, was also named Fox Valley all-conference in the high jump, long jump, 60 meter hurdles and 400 meter for indoor track and Fox Valley all-conference in the high jump, long jump, and 300 and 100 meter hurdles for outdoor track.
• Was a member of the National Honor Society and student council member while in high school.  

Personal
• Alexa Ann Schmitt is the daughter of Chad and Julie.
• She has two younger sisters, Paytyn and Kiara.
• Her father played football at Valparaiso University.
• She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
