Biography
At Cornell:
Kavleski continued to show improvement as she set new PR’s in both the hammer and weight during her junior year. Indoors, Kavleski improved to fifth in the 20 lb. weight at the Heps with a personal-best throw of 50’9 1/2", and outdoors she moved her best mark to 154’11. Both marks were good enough to place her 10th all-time at Cornell. A consistent performer for the Big Red, she will look to break into the top three this year at Heps in both events. At Liberty HS: Won the National Scholastic Indoor Championships and placed third in the Nike Indoor Nationals her senior year in the weight to go along with her sixth place finish at the Adidas Outdoor Nationals in the hammer. Ranked second in the country her senior year by Track and Field News in the hammer, she was also a state qualifier and scorer in the discus. Personal: Andrea Kavleski is the daughter of Andrew and Beverly Kavleski.
