Biography
At Cornell:
A tri-captain in 2007-08 for the women’s track and field team, Gregory has been a leader on and off the track during her career at Cornell. A three-time Heps finalist in the 800m, she scored at the 2007 outdoor championships and ran a critical leg on the Big Red’s indoor ECAC runner-up 4x800 relay squad. Gregory has been on three Heps-scoring 4x800s in her career and ran on the 4x800 that finished seventh in the Championship of America at the Penn Relays as a sophomore and eleventh as a junior. Gregory is an ECAC qualifier indoors and outdoors in the 800m as well as in the 1000 indoors. As a junior, she worked with teammates to revive the Cornell track team’s Spiked Shoe Society. At The Hackley School: A New York state finalist at 800 meters, Gregory was one of the top middle distance runners in New York state in high school. Personal: Anjelica Simone Gregory is the daughter Algie and Winsome Gregory.
