As a Junior (2017-18)
• First-Team All-Ivy (Indoor mile)
• Indoor Heps champion in the mile, notching a personal-best time (4:48.91).
• Also scored in the indoor meet as a member of the DMR that placed fifth (11:43.52).
• Scored twice at Outdoor Heps, finishing third in the 4x800 relay (8:43.83) and sixth in the 800 (2:09.35).
• Placed fourth in the 1000 at the ECAC Indoor Championships with a PR (4:48.91).
• For indoors, third in school history in the 1000, ninth in the DMR and 10th in the mile.
• Outdoors, second all-time at Cornell in DMR, eighth in 4x800 and ninth in the 1500.
• NCAA East Preliminary Championships qualifier in the 1500, taking 30th overall (4:23.00).
• Recorded four event wins on the year.
• Won the 3000 at the Skyes & Sabock Challenge Cup with a new personal-best time of 9:43.73.
• Also PR’d in the outdoor 800 (2:09.06) to place seventh at the Larry Ellis Invitational and the 1500 (4:22.90) to take seventh at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
• Had yet another strong cross country season, running in six competitions.
• At the season-opening quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU, finished 27th and followed that up with a 68th-place showing at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
• Went on to take 232nd at the Paul Short Run and 93rd at the Penn State National Open.
• Was the 52nd runner to cross the line at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships and closed out season 177th at the NCAA Northeast Regional.
As a Sophomore (2016-17)
• Had a solid sophomore cross country campaign for the Big Red.
• Began the season with a 37th place finish at the Spiked Shoe Invitational and then went on to finish 12th in the Paul Short 6K Open Race, 126th at the Penn State National before putting in a season-best eighth place performance at the John Reif Memorial Run.
• On the track, had five individual top 10 finishes along with a first place finish in the 4x800 meter relay at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open.
• Finished third in the mile at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open and had a season-best 5:08.48 in the event at the Upstate Challenge.
• Also finished eighth in the 3000 at the Nittany Lion Challenge.
• Outdoors, won the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.
As a Freshman (2015-16)
• Was strong in debut season for the Big Red, finishing in the top 20 in four cross country meets.
• Placed 20th in the season-opening Brother Jasper Invitational, 14th in the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational, ninth at the Lehigh Paul Short Run and fifth at the Canisius Alumni Classic.
• Was 60th at Ivy League Cross Country Championships.
Before Cornell
• Perennially one of the top middle distance and distance runners in Virginia throughout her high school career, Taylor was the Virginia 3A Outdoor Track & Field Champion in the 1600 meters.
• Named the Central Virginia Runner of the Year in 2013 and 2014, a Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete in 2015 and the Western Albemarle High School Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track MVP for all four years.
• Is a multiple-time region champion in the 800, 1000, 1600 and 3200 and district champion in 400, 800, 1000, 1600, 3200 and cross country.
• Also earned All-State honors in cross country, outdoor 800 and indoor and outdoor 1000, 1600 and 3200.
• In addition to her running success, was a Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholar and concertmaster of the school orchestra.
Personal
• Annie Mae Taylor is the daughter of Douglas and Kimberly Taylor.
• She has two older brothers, Jimmy, who runs cross country and track and field at Oberlin College, and David, who is a member of the Cornell men’s cross country and track and field teams.
• She is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
