PRIOR TO CORNELL
Earned a top-10 national ranking in the indoor season (2025), including the No. 7 time in the 1000m and No. 9 time in the 1500m… placed fourth at the 2025 Millrose Games… recorded the No. 3 all-time mile in her section… NYSPHSAA State Champion… three-time All-State selection… four-time All-Section honoree… captured a county title in cross country and earned four All-County selections… totaled 11 All-League honors… set school records at Eastchester High School in the indoor 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1500m, and mile, as well as the outdoor 800m and mile.

Ava Madeleine Pennachio is the daughter of Nancy Brosterman and Matt Pennachio… has one brother, Jack, who attends Grinnell College… born in Englewood, N.J., and raised in Eastchester, N.Y.… she is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
