As a Senior (2013-14)Parascandola competed strictly indoors in her final season. She focused her efforts primarily in the 60 hurdles. Her best showing came at the Ithaca College Quad Meet, where she posted a season best 9.47 in a 2
nd place finish.
As a Junior (2012-13)Parascandola set new career highs in the 60-meter dash and the 200 during the year, running 8.81 and 28.08, respectively.
As a Freshman (2010-11)Parascandola put forth a great effort as a freshman, setting personal bests in the pentathlon (3223), as well as the high jump and shot put. She showed strong promise in the multi event, short hurdles, and high jump.
Before CornellParascandola was a three-time indoor and outdoor all-state award winner. She won 10 state titles and captured the state record in the indoor 55m hurdles as a senior. She holds school records in five events including the heptathlon. In the USATF Junior Olympics Nationals 2009, Parascandola placed sixth in the Heptathlon. She also played four years of field hockey and was captain as a senior.
PersonalRebecca Parascandola is the daughter of Michael and Nancy Parascandola and has an older brother and sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
