As a Junior (2018-19)

• Did not compete in any cross country or track meets.

As a Sophomore (2017-18)

• Competed at Outdoor Heps in the 800, taking 12th in personal-record time of 2:11.06.
• Placed eighth in the 1000 at the ECAC Indoor Championships (2:51.09) after setting a PR in the event during prelims (2:50.23).
• Won two events on the year, the 1000 at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open (2:56.22) and the 800 at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational (2:16.27).
• Recorded seven top-three finishes throughout the year.
• Also netted PR’s in the mile (5:01.75) and 1500 (4:37.20).
• Saw action in four cross country meets, beginning with a 42nd-place finish in the quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU. The sophomore then placed 151st in the open race at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown and 179th in the open race at the Paul Short Run.
• Finished out season as the 10th runner to cross the line at the Reif Memorial Run.

As a Freshman (2016-17)

• Made an impact on the Cornell middle-distance squad during freshman season, earning five top three finishes and eight top 10 finishes.
• Indoors, won the 800 at the Marc Deneault Memorial (2:18.70), second in the 1000 at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open (2:59.14) and second in the 800 at the Upstate Challenge (2:18.15).
• At the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championships, finished 13th in the 1000 and was a member of the eight place Distance Medley Relay squad.

Before Cornell

• A three-season captain her senior year, Roche was named first-team all-state in cross country, third-team all-state in the indoor 1600 meter and second-team all-state in the outdoor 1600 meter.
• Roche, who was a four-time first-team All-Freehold Regional HS District honoree and winner of the Shore Coaches Runner of the Year award in every season her senior year, also won the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Freshman race.
• Was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.

Personal

• Ciara Lynn Roche is the daughter of Brian and Nancy Roche.
• She has an older sister, Brianne, who runs track and field at Fordham University.
• Her father ran track at Iona College and her mother ran track and field at Manhattan College.
• Enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
