As a Junior (2019-20)

• Competed in six cross country meets.
• Finished first at the NCAA DI Northeast Region Cross Country Championships (11/15) to help lead her team to an automatic bid to the national competition.
• Crossed the finish line first for Cornell, 90th overall, at the NCAA DI Championships (11/23).
• Competed in four indoor track meets.
• Earned two first-place finished in the mile and the DMR at the Upstate Challenge (1/24-25).
• At the Ivy League Indoor Heps Championships, she broke the facility record and ran a personal record in the 5000 for first-place after running for second-place in the 3000.
• Holds the fifth-fastest time in program history in the indoor 5000 and the indoor 3000.
 

As a Sophomore (2018-19)

• Ran in seven outdoor meets.
• Finished third in the 3000 at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships (5/4-5).
• Secured a second place finish in the 3000 at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships (5/11-12).
• Competed in the 3000 race at the NCAA Division I East Region Preliminary Rounds (5/23-25).
• Ran in eight indoor meets.
• Finished seventh in the 3000 at the Ivy League Indoor Championship (2/23-24).
• Placed eighth at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships (3/1-3).
• Ran in four cross country meets.
 

As a Freshman (2017-18)

• Holds four freshman indoor track records (mile, 3000, 5000 and DMR) and two freshman outdoor records (3000 and steeplechase).
• Ranks second in school history in outdoor 3000 (9:25.52) and eighth in the outdoor 5000 (16:31.33).
• NCAA East Preliminary Championships qualifier in the steeplechase, taking 22nd overall (10:18.54).
• Double scorer at Outdoor Heps, taking third in both the 5000 and steeplechase.
• Also competed at Indoor Heps, taking fourth in the DMR (11:36.88) and seventh in the mile (4:54.72).
• Runner-up in the 3000 (9:30.36) at the ECAC Indoor Championships.
• Tallied wins in the mile at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open (4:56.51) and steeplechase at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival (10:16.67).
• Had an immediate impact during the cross country season, placing within the top five for Cornell in all six meets she competed in, including a stellar race at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships where she ran to First Team All-Ivy honors.
• Made debut at the season-opening quad meet with Columbia, Brown and NYU, placing 12th overall and fifth for the Big Red.
• Continued on to finish 25th overall and third for the team at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown before taking 36th at the Paul Short Run as the second member of the squad to cross the line.
• The next two meets, was the first Cornellian to cross the line after grabbing 18th at the Penn State National Open and placing a tremendous seventh at Heps.
• Finished out the season with a 72nd-place performance at the NCAA Northeast Regional as the number five runner for Cornell.
 

Prior to Cornell

• A gifted middle distance and distance runner with exceptional range, Gabrielle has personal best of 2:14.53 for 800 meters and 10:00.54 for 3000 meters.
• She also proved to be one of the nation's best in the steeplechase, running 6:59.05 fot the 2K steeple.

Personal

• Gabrielle "Elle" Ann Orie is the daughter is Joseph and Kathleen Orie.
• Her twin, Danielle, is on the Pennsylvania track and field and cross country teams.
• Has two older sisters, Stephanie and Jennifer, in addition to her twin sister.
• Two of her cousins, Richard Semenick and John Wolford, attended Cornell.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
