Biography
At Cornell:
Folger had a breakout sophomore season. As Cornell’s top javelin thrower, the New Jersey-native was one of the Ivy League’s most consistent throwers. She finished third in the Heps javelin and was an ECAC qualifier, and her throw of 133’2" ranks fifth all-time at Cornell for the new javelin. A tenacious competitor and technician, look for Folger to challenge the top throwers in the East in 2008. At North Brunswick HS: Folger was a two-time state scorer in the javelin. In her senior year, she not only won the New Jersey Group 4 state title, but became the first athlete from her school to then go on and win the New Jersey Meet of Champions. She also finished eighth at the Nike Outdoor Nationals. Personal: Erin Tierney Folger is the daughter of Tom and Maria Folger.
