Biography
At Cornell:
Jessica established herself as a dominant force in the Ivy League during her sophomore season. She is a two-time Heptagonal champion and has qualified for the ECACs and NCAA Regionals in her first two seasons for the Big Red. Indoors, Retelny finished sixth in the 60m (7.86) and was third in the long jump, reaching an indoor personal best of 18-9 ¼ at the Heptagonals. She was part of the Red’s 1-2-3-4 sweep in the long jump, a first in Ivy League history. At the outdoor conference meet, she anchored the champion 4x100m relay and helped hold the Ivy League record in that event at 46.03. She was a sixth-place finisher in the 100m as well and reached a personal best 19-3 ½ in the long jump (fifth all-time at Cornell). At Scarsdale: Retelny was one of the top short sprinters in the state at Scarsdale HS, scoring at both the indoor and outdoor state meets. She had personal bests of 7.71 in the 60m, 12.14 in the 100m and 17-9 in the long jump. Retelny finished third at the World Maccabiah Games in the 100m meters in 2005. Personal: Jessica A.
