Bernatowicz's up-to-date results
As a Freshman (2016-17)
Bernatowicz had a solid first season in the short sprints for Cornell. Indoors, she seven top 10 finishes. Bernatowicz was a member of two third place 4x400 meter relay teams and she took fifth in the 400 at the Upstate Challenge, had a pair of fifth place finishes in the 500 and also taking second in the 300 at the Cornell Cabin Fever Invitational. Outdoors, she finished second in the 400 at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet and had a collegiate best 1:00.65 for seventh at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.
Before Cornell
Bernatowicz captained the cross country and track teams as a senior. She qualified for the state championships all four years of high school and holds the 4x400 meter relay district record. Bernatowicz served as an officer and a secretary of the National Honor Society while in high school.
Personal
Joanna Bernatowicz is the daughter of Tadeusz and Aniela Bernatowicz. She has two brothers, Adam and Greg, and two sisters, Bernadetta and Izabella. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
