As a Senior (2016-17)
Hargett earned three top 10 finishes in the javelin as a senior, including a seventh place finish at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She had a seasonal-best 136’9” throw at the UCLA Legends Invitational to finish third and added a fifth place finish at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational before her outdoors Heps heave of 121’9”.
As a Junior (2015-16)
Hargett continued to compete exclusively in the javelin during her junior season, finishing in the top 10 in five of the six meets she threw in. She claimed two individual titles – at the Outdoor Upstate Challenge and the Big Red Invitational – and went on to finish third at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a season best throw of 132’8”.
As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Hargett competed exclusively in the javelin her sophomore year, with her highest finish coming at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational where she placed second. She also finished third at the UC Riverside Meet.
As a Freshman (2013-14)
Hargett competed exclusively in the javelin during her debut season. She began her collegiate career at the UCR Spring Break Invitational, taking home a 2nd place finish. She posted her best throw of the season at the Bison Outdoor Classic, launching a javelin 148’ 7”, good for a first-place finish and the no. 2 best throw in program history. She took home 27th place in the collegiate division at the Penn Relays. Hargett concluded her rookie season at the Outdoor Heps, posting an 8th place finish.
Before Cornell
An all-around athlete, Hargett holds two of her school’s individual records in the javelin (142-9) and the 300 hurdles, and has been a part of her school’s 4x100 and 4x400 school record relay teams. She placed at the state meet in multiple events.
