At Cornell
One of the women’s track captains for 2010-11, Standridge had a tremendous junior year in 2009-10, earning All-American honors with a ninth-place finish in the 800 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, OR in June. The runner-up in the 800 at both the indoor and outdoor Heps, Standridge placed fourth in the 800 at both the indoor and outdoor ECACs in 2010 as well. Her 2:05.37 at the NCAA First Round in Greensboro is the third best in outdoor school history; she sits #6 all-time in the indoor 800 and #9 in the 1000 in school history. Standridge has had a terrific career: before an injury-plagued sophomore year, she had a remarkable freshman year in both cross country and track. In the team’s top five throughout the fall cross country campaign of 2007, Kim set a Cornell school record for the Moakley Course in the team’s first meet of the season against Army. During indoor track, she set a school freshman record in the mile and earned All-East honors in both the 4X800 and Distance Medley Relay. Outdoors in the 1500, Standridge qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships, set another school freshman record and was a finalist at the ECAC Championships. Five times All-East, she returns for a senior year as one of the top middle distance runners in the country.
Before Cornell
Standridge placed second at the New Jersey Meet of Champions in the outdoor 800m and was an All-American in the indoor mile by virtue of her sixth-place finish at the National Scholastic Championships
