As a Senior (2011-12)
Brandt just missed scoring in the triple jump at Indoor Heps, placing second with a jump of 38' 6 3/4". She also participated in the triple jump at the Indoor ECACs, taking ninth with a top jump of 39' 1 1/4".  Brandt followed that performance later in the year wit han 11th-place showing at the Penn Relays in the Eastern triple jump. She went 38' 2" in that meet. She finished the Outdoor Heps in 10 the long jump, but she scored six points for the Big Red with a third-place showing in the triple jump (39' 10 3/4"). She finished her Big Red career with a 39' 8 3/4" triple jump in the ECAC Outdoor Championships.

At Cornell
Brandt struggled her freshman year with the Big Red due to sickness and injury. Her sophomore year, however, proved a success in the triple jump as she continuously improved throughout the season to jump a personal record of 40’2 ½” feet to place third at the Outdoor Heptagonal Championships and placing her sixth on the Cornell all-time list. She continued to be a strong performer her junior year, almost jumping her personal record in the indoor season, while qualifying for the ECAC Indoor Championship. In the outdoor season, Brandt continued with strong performances in the triple jump and her long jump continuously improved. At the Outdoor Heps, Brandt placed sixth in the long jump with a personal best of 5.81m. She also placed fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.17m, also qualifying for the ECAC championships in both events.

Before Cornell
Brandt was a decorated athlete at Central Mountain HS, becoming the first athlete in school history to win a state championship when she claimed the indoor triple jump crown in 2008. She holds the school record in both the long jump and the triple jump and was named the 2007 West Central Pennsylvania Coaches Meet Outstanding Performer. Brandt was inducted into her high school's athletic hall of fame in 2009.

Personal
Kristin Amber Brandt is the daughter of Dr. John and Karen Brandt and has an older brother and sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
