Afolayan's up-to-date results

As a Senior (2016-17)
Afolayan set personal bests in both the long jump and triple jump as a senior. She leaped a new best 35’10” in the triple jump at the Robert J. Kane Invitational to finish sixth in one of four top 10 finishes during the indoor season. Outdoors, she reached a career-best of 17’1.5” for seventh at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational. She also had a wind-aided 17’8” jump for fourth at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet.

As a Junior (2015-16)
As a junior, Afolayan continued to compete in the long jump for the Big Red and added the triple jump to her repertoire in three outdoor meets. Indoors, she finished sixth in the long jump at the Marc Deneault Invitational (16’10.75”). Outdoors, she finished fourth in the long jump (16’8”) and fifth in the triple jump (35’5”) at the Outdoor Upstate Challenge. She also finished seventh in the triple jump (35’6”) and fifth in the long jump (16’8.5”) at the Big Red Invitational.

As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Afolayan competed in nine meets for the Big Red in her first season, primarily in the long jump. Indoors she finished seventh overall at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open (15’5”) and eighth at the Marc Deneault Memorial Invitational (16’3”). Outdoors, she placed seventh at the Outdoor Upstate Challenge (16’9.25”).

Before Cornell
Afolayan ran track all four years of high school, competing in the long jump, triple jump and sprints. She was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal
Ololade Ashley Afolayan is the daughter of Raphael and Fatima Afolayan. She has an older brother, Adeyeni, who graduated from Cornell in 2013. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
