Suzie Petryk's up-to-date results

As a Sophomore (2016-17)
In her second Big Red cross country season, Petryk ran in three races. She oepend with a sixth place finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational then placed 80th at the Paul Short 6K Gold Run before ending the season with a 42nd place finish at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships. On the track, Petryk competed in four indoor meets. She finished fifth in the 1000 at the Upstate Challenge and finished first with the Distance Medley Relay squad at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup. Petryk had a personal record in the 1000 at the Nittany Lion Challenge (2:57.67) and a best in the 800 at the Fastrack National Invitational (2:15.47).
 
As a Freshman (2015-16)
Petryk had a strong first cross country season for the Big Red, finishing in the to 25 in all five meets she competed in. She finished ninth at the Canisius Alumni Classic and a season-best third at the John Reif Memorial.

On the track, she competed four times, helping the 4x800 team to a win at Greg Page Relays and the distance medley team to a runner-up finish at the Cornell Indoor Upstate Challenge.

Before Cornell
One of the top steeplechasers in the nation as a senior, Petryk ran 6:55 for the 3K steeplechase and was a highly competitive 800 meter runner as well, with a personal best of 2:13. She captained the Huntington High School track team to a spring track division title in 2015 while earning All-State honors in the 1000 and 2K steeplechase and All-County honors in the 800. She earned five letters in winter track, four in spring track and three in cross country and holds several school records. Off the track, Petryk was a member of seven academic honor societies.

Suzie Petryk is the daughter of Grzegorz and Magdalena Petryk. She has an older sister, Margaret, and an older brother, Matthew.
