As a junior (2017-18)

• Went 1-2 on the season, wrestling at the season-opening Binghamton Open.
• Earned a tech fall win over David Russell of Army West Point in the opening round at 165 pounds.
 

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Went 10-6 with six bonus wins while wrestling at both 165 and 174.
• Opened the season 4-2 at the Binghamton Open before taking sixth at the New York State Intercollegiates at 174.
• Also wrestled in the Brockport Open and Edinboro Open.
 

As a freshman (2015-16)

• Went 15-5 as a rookie, including winning nine of his final 10 matches while competing at 174 pounds.
• Won the New York State Intercollegiate B Division, Brockport Invitational and Shorty Hitchcock Invitational.
• Went 2-2 in his collegiate debut at the Binghamton Open.
• Also competed at the Southern Scuffle.
• Made his dual meet debut against Columbia.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Garcia was a three-time Michigan state champion and four-time finalist at Detroit Catholic Central HS.
• Helped his team to state titles in each of his final three seasons, as well as a runner-up finish as a freshman.
• Captured the 2012 Cadet Freestyle Pan-American championship and the USA Folkstyle national title.
• Four-time USA Freestyle and Greco All-American.
• Earned FILA Cadet Freestyle All-America honors in 2012.
• Posted a 52-0 record as a junior and 41-1 as a senior.
• Ranked among the nation's top 75 recruits as a senior by both FloWrestling and Intermat.
• Took seventh in Fargo and fourth at Super 32s prior to his senior year.
 

Personal

• Andrew Blake Garcia is the son of Daniel and Deana Garcia and has an older brother and an older and younger sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
