At Cornell
2012-13: Gonzalez went 2-4 with a win by fall as a sophomore. He won two matches at the New York State Intercollegiate Championships, including one by fall.

2011-12: In his rookie season with the Big Red, Gonzalez wrestled for Cornell at the Binghamton Open and Body Bar Invitational at 149 pounds.

Prior to Cornell
Gonzalez won three straight Pacific View League titles, took third at the Masters and was a CIF state qualifier.  He was named the Ventura County Star Boys Scholar Athlete of the Year.
