Jamar Billman is the newest addition to the Cornell staff. The three-time All-American will assist with the middle weight wrestlers.

Prior to joining the Big Red staff, Billman competed for two seasons at Lock Haven University, where he complied a 61-7 record and earned All-America honors twice by finishing fifth at 149-pounds at the NCAA championships in 2001 and 2002. Billman also won the Eastern Wrsetling League and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships at Lock Haven in 2001 and 2002. As a senior he posted a 36-4 record and led the Bald Eagles with eight pins. He went 25-3 and topped the squad with eight pins as a junior.

Billman transferred to Lock Haven from Penn State, where he compiled a 56-6 record. He went 21-0 during his sophomore season and posted a 35-6 record, including a team-best 19-2 mark in dual action, and earned All-America honors after placing fifth at 142 pounds at the NCAA Championships as a true freshman in 1998. Billman finished third at the Big Ten Conference Championships and was named the Big Ten Freshman Wrestler of the Year.

He compiled an impressive overall collegiate record of 117-13. He is currently training for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
