At Cornell
Gwiazdowski was named to the Cornell wrestling coaching staff in August of 2021. A two-time world bronze medalist at 125-kilograms, Gwiazdowski will continue training while at Cornell, while assisting in the coaching of the Big Red's heavyweights.
Wrestling Career
Gwiazdowski comes to Cornell from North Carolina State University, where he spent the last five years competing out of the Wolfpack Wrestling Club. Prior to starting his senior level wrestling career, Gwiazdowski was a two-time NCAA champion at 285 pounds and a three-time All-American for the Wolfpack. Gwiazdowski's collegiate career started at Binghamton, where he earned All-America honors as a freshman in 2012. A native of Duanesburg, New York, Gwiazdowski finished his collegiate career with a record of 140-12, with a mark of 110-3 following his transfer to NC State.
At the senior level, Gwiazdowski is a two-time World bronze medalist, securing medals at the 2017 and 2018 World Championships. Gwiazdowski was the United States' representative at 125-kilograms for the World Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
