2023-24 | SENIOR SEASON
Earned All-American status for the second year in a row at NCAAs… took fourth at 197 pounds… went 28-8 on the season… earned 16 bonus-point wins… clinched Cornell’s dual win over No. 2 Missouri on Jan. 28 with a decision win over #3 Rocky Elam… unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection for third straight year…. took second at EIWA Tournament… won a bronze medal at the U23 World Wrestling Championships before the season

2022-23 I JUNIOR SEASON
Finished eighth at 197 pounds at the NCAA Tournament to earn his first All-America honor ... posted a 20-6 record ... won his first EIWA title, including a 10-9 comeback victory in the finals against No. 2 Michael Beard of Lehigh ... was 5-0 against Ivy opponents with four victories with bonus points to earn unanimous All-Ivy first team honors ... all six losses came against nationally ranked opponents with three by a single takedown ... was 12-3 in dual meets and won eight of his matches with bonus points attached ... posted a career-long 14-match win streak.

2021-22 I SOPHOMORE SEASON
NCAA qualifier, going 1-2 at 197 pounds ... took fifth at EIWAs to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA championship ... unanimous first-team All-Ivy League selection ... all eight losses were to NCAA qualifiers with six coming by a takedown or less ... runner-up at the Bearcat Open ... had a 14-match win streak heading into the EIWA semifinals ... wrestled 15 matches against nationally ranked opponents.

2020-21 I FRESHMAN SEASON
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Jersey State Champion in 2018 (195 pounds) ... Super 32 Champion in 2018 (195 pounds) ... FloNationals Champion in 2019 (195 pounds) ... New Jersey State Champion in 2019 (195 pounds) ... first team All-State in 2018 and 2019.

PERSONAL
Jacob Cardenas is the son of Jesenia Reis and Roig Cardenas, and has three siblings ... he is enrolled in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning.
