• Was a four-year state qualifier and three-time place-winner at Oak Mountain HS.
• Was the state runner-up as a senior after taking third as a junior and fourth as a sophomore.
• Won 176 matches during his four-year career, earning team captain accolades as a senior.
• Named to the Birmingham All-Metro team.
• Was a four-year starter on the football team.
• Also competes on the Big Red rugby team as a starter.
