• Galasso was 3-3 on the year, including taking fourth at the season-opening Binghamton Open.
• He also saw action in an early dual meet against Northern Iowa.

As a sophomore (2016-17)

• Missed a large portion of the season due to injury, going 11-7 at 149 pounds.
• Opened the season by winning the Binghamton Open at 149 pounds, topping Penn State's Gary Dinmore in the finals.
• His five wins at Binghamton was part of a 6-0 start to the season.
• Went 3-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational after splitting his two dual matches at the Grapple at the Garden.
• Dominated No. 13 Davion Jeffries of Oklahoma in the Big Red's dual win, earning an 11-3 major decision victory.
 

As a freshman (2015-16)

• Was a unanimous selection as Ivy League Rookie of the Year and earned first-team All-Ivy accolades.
• EIWA runner-up at 149 pounds, capping a 21-14 rookie campaign.
• Went 1-2 at his first NCAA Championship, winning a consolation bout against Purdue's Alex Griffin.
• Had five bonus wins and was a perfect 7-0 against Ivy League foes.
• Knocked off No. 11 CJ Cobb of Penn in the Big Red's dual meet against the Quakers, heling Cornell to its 13th straight Ivy title.
• Finished third at 149 pounds at the Binghamton Open and was 2-2 at both the Las Vegas Invitational and the Southern Scuffle.
• Five of his losses came by a single point.
 

Prior to Cornell

• A Pennsylvania state champion as a junior and two-time finalist at Father Judge HS, Galasso wrestled from 125 to 145 during his prep career.
• Was a four-time state place-winner with a career record of 147-13 with 69 wins by fall.
• Captured three district titles.
• Earned All-America honors twice.

• Joseph Michael Galasso is the son of Joseph and Renee Galasso.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
