As a Senior (2020-21)

• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

As a junior (2019-20)

• Registered a 5-6 overall record with four wins by decision and another by major.
• Placed fifth at the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open.
• Took second place in the 184 pound B bracket at the Cornell Open.

As a sophomore (2018-19)

• Registered a 9-6 overall record with three wins by fall and another by tech fall.
• Claimed second at the New York State Intercollegiate at 174 pounds, falling in the final to teammate Andrew Berreyesa.
• Won three of his first four matches at the NY State Intercollegiates by fall, with two coming in the first period.
• Finished fourth at the Shorty Hitchcock Invitational and sixth at the Binghamton Open.
 

As a freshman (2017-18)

• Was 8-10 on the season, winning six of his matches with bonus points attached.
• Earned four wins by fall.
• Wrestled in five tournaments, reaching the podium with an seventh place finish in the B draw of the New York State Intercollegiate meet.
• Eight of his losses came by decision, with five by a takedown or less.
• Narrowly missed the podium at the Cleveland State Open, going 3-2.
• Also wrestled in the Binghamton Open, the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic and the National Collegiate Open.
 

Prior to Cornell

• A three-time league champion, Barley was a three-time state qualifier at Penn Manor HS.
• Won four sectional crowns and placed twice at the state meet, taking sixth as a junior and fourth as a senior.
• Was 149-22 for his career, including 42-4 as a senior with 20 wins by fall.
• Owns the school record for career wins.
• Earned three league championships, becoming just the second wrestler in school history to accomplish that feat.
• Captained the team as a senior.
 

Personal

• Jonah Thomas Barley is the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Barley and has an older sister and a younger brother and sister.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
