Biography

At Cornell
2012-13: Kennedy went 4-6 with three falls and four total bonus wins as a junior. He won three different matches by fall at the New York State Intercollegiate Championships.

2011-12: In his second season with the Big Red, Kennedy wrestled for Cornell at the Binghamton Open, Body Bar Invitational, Lock Haven Tournament and New York State Intercollegiate Tournament at 133 pounds. Kennedy defeated Binghamton’s St. James by a 9-5 decision at the Body Bar Invitational

2010-11: Kennedy split time between 125 and 133 pounds in his freshman season.  He went 1-3 overall, earning his collegiate victory with a first period fall over Vinny Moita of Brown.  He also wrestled at the Mat Town Open.

Prior to Cornell
Kennedy won an Oklahoma state title in his final high school season at 125 pounds, after finishing third at 103 as a sophomore. He was the first-ever state champion from Norman North HS. Kennedy placed fifth at the Toshiba Midwest Classic at 119 pounds as a senior. He was a two-year team captain and a three-time state qualifier.

Joshua Adam Kennedy is the son of Bill and Sharon Wall. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
