Biography

At Cornell
2008-09:
Moore went 3-1 at the Binghamton Open before suffering a season-ending injury. Moore opened the tournament with an 11-3 major decision over Boston’s Platco. In his second match, he defeated 2009 NCAA qualifier, Brown’s Matt Gevelinger, 4-3. Moore’s only loss of the season came at the hands of his teammate, All-American Cam Simaz, 6-3, in overtime.

2007-08: Moore compiled a 19-12 overall record during his second season with the Big Red. He opened the season with a 3-2 record at the Brute Binghamton Open to place fourth. With a 5-1 mark, Moore took third at the Reno Tournament of Champions at 184 pounds. He also wrestled for the Big Red at the Body Bar Invitational, Nittany Lion Open, Southern Scuffle and National Duals.

2005-06: As a rookie, he wrestled at both 174 and 184 pounds where he competed at the Body Bar Invitational, Southern Scuffle, and New York State Championships. He was not in school during the 2006-07 academic year.

Prior to Cornell
Moore was a four-time letter winner wrestling at 171 pounds at Oak Grove HS. He was a Cadet All-American and a national freestyle runner-up and third-place Greco-Roman finisher in 2003. He was the 2005 junior freestyle national runner-up, earning All-America honors. He also was a two-time letter winner playing fullback for the Oak Grove football team.

Personal
Michael T. Moore is the son of David and Maria Moore. His twin brother, Taylor, is also on the Big Red wrestling team. He also has an older sister. He is enrolled in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences.
