Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Finished his senior campaign with a 13-10 record and seventh-place finish at the EIWA Championships.
• Wrestled at both 165 and 174 pounds throughout the season.
• Won 11 matches by decision, one by major decision and one by forfeit.
• Took first place at 165 pounds at the Cornell Open.
• Named to the EIWA All-Academic Team.


As a junior (2018-19)

• Was 6-9 on the season while wrestling at both 157 and 165.
• Took fifth at the Bearcat Open to begin the season 
• Was 2-2 at the Las Vegas Invitational.
• Saw action in five dual meets.
• Three of his losses came to nationally ranked grapplers.
 

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Went 8-4 on the season, competing in three tournament, a round robin and his first Ivy dual meet.
• Earned a major decision victory at 174 pounds against Penn as part of a 5-0 team league dual slate.
• Took fourth at 165 pounds at the Binghamton Open, including a win over Brown's NCAA qualifier Jon Viruet.
• Also wrestled at the Cleveland State Open and the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic.
• Won a pair of matches at the South Beach Duals round robin.
 

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Was 13-6 while wrestling at 165 and 174 pounds.
• Opened the year at 174, going 2-2 at the Binghamton Open and placing second at the New York State Intercollegiate meet.
• Moved down to 165 and finished third at the Mat Town Open, wrestling back after dropping a second round match to claim four consecutive wins.
• Was 2-2 at the Southern Scuffle, bouncing back with consecutive wins in the back draw after falling in the first round.
 

Prior to Cornell

• Dawkins was a two-time state place winner, including a one-time runner-up, while attending Carman-Ainsworth HS.
• He was a two-time district, regional and county champion.
• Posted 189 career wins and was ranked among the nation's top 20 wrestlers as a senior.
• Was a three-year team captain who wrestled from 103 to 160 pounds.
• Selected to the Michigan Dream Team.
• Was a three-year starter in football.
• Earned all-conference honors as a senior after ranking in the top 20 in the state in quarterback sacks.

• Milik Milton Ray Dawkins is the son of Milton Sr. and Doris Dawkins and has an older brother and three older sisters.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
