Did not compete… wrestled at the Greco-Roman US Team Olympic Trials in Sate College, Pa.
As a Sophomore (2020-21)
• Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a Freshman (2019-20)
• Went 6-3 as a freshman, but did not appear in dual action.
• Won five matches with bonus points, two by fall, two by tech fall, one by major and one by decision.
• Posted a 4-1 record at the Cornell Open.
Prior to Cornell
• Was a three-time state champion at Kearney HS.
• 2017 Fargo Cadet Greco-Roman national champion while placing third in free style.
• 2018 UWW Cadet Greco-Roman World Team member.
• Posted a 45-1 record as a junior before winning the Nebraska title at 126 pounds and was 46-1 as a senior before claiming the 132-pound crown.
• Helped lead team to a state dual title in 2018.
Personal
• Phillip James Moomey is the son of Travis and Dori Moomey and has an older brother and two younger sisters.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
