Joined Cornell Athletics Staff: 2025
At Cornell University: Schrom serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Event Management and Operations, overseeing gameday operations, event logistics, staffing, payroll, and facility coordination for Cornell Athletics. Schrom serves as the event manager for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s ice hockey, wrestling, baseball, softball, and indoor/outdoor track and field, while also coordinating athletic camps, clinics, and scheduling across multiple athletic facilities.
Prior to Cornell: Schrom served as an Athletics Event Management & Operations Coordinator at Cornell after beginning his career with the department as an Event Management & Operations Intern. In those roles, he assisted with gameday operations, staffing, facility scheduling, and event management for multiple varsity athletic programs.
Prior to returning to Cornell full-time, Schrom served as a Facilities & Events Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, assisting with event operations, facility management, and gameday administration. He also spent two years as an event manager at SUNY Cortland, supporting operations for multiple athletic programs. In addition, Schrom worked as a Graduate Assistant within the SUNY Cortland Sport Management Department, advising students on career development while managing internship and networking opportunities within the sports industry.
Education: SUNY Cortland, 2024 (B.S. in Sport Management, minor in Communication); SUNY Cortland, 2025 (M.S. in Sport Management).
Of Note: Schrom was a four-year member of the SUNY Cortland track and field program, earning two All-SUNYAC honors and two All-Region selections during his collegiate career. He was also recognized with the Graduate Student Award and Outstanding Student Employee Award in 2025.
Personal: Schrom is a native from Richmondville, N.Y., and resides in Homer, N.Y.
