At Cornell
LaSashia Connelly joined the Big Red in June of 2024, helping lead the Big Red to a 7-20 overall and 3-11 Ivy League record in 2024-25.
Prior to Cornell
Connelly was elevated to assistant coach in year three after serving as the Bucknell women's basketball team's manager of basketball operations for two seasons.
She joined the Bison after serving as an assistant coach at Maine Maritime Academy for three seasons. She helped lead the Mariners to a 20-6 record and a North Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament appearance in her last season with the program.
Prior to her time with the Mariners, Connelly was an assistant coach and basketball operations manager at Lenoir-Rhyne in 2016-17. That season, Connelly helped coach the Bears defense that ranked eighth in the country in scoring defense and finished with an improved 17-12 record.
Before entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Connelly helped coach the girls' basketball team at her alma mater, Jimmy C. Draughn High School, in Valdese, N.C.
At both of her previous stops, Connelly has served as a Student-Athlete Academic Committee advisor as well as an admissions counselor as Maine Maritime Academy.
Playing Career
A four-year member of the women's basketball team at Salem College, Connelly won a Great South Atlantic Conference Championship in 2014 and made an appearance in the Division III NCAA Tournament. Connelly earned her bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise at Salem in 2014.
