At Cornell

Burke has served as assistant coach for both the Cornell men's and women's squash teams since 2019 and was promoted to associate head coach in May 2025.

Burke has helped develop some of the programs' best talent in recent memory, including Veer Chotrani '24 of the men's team and Sivasangari Subramaniam '23 of the women's team, who were both Four-Time First Team All-Americans by the College Squash Association (CSA) and four-time First Team All-Ivy honorees.

Chotrani was named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Year in 2020, becoming Cornell's second men's squash player to earn the award since the inaugural presentation of the award in 1984, joining Nick Sachvie in 2011.

Cornell's women's team has had a CSA First Team All-American in each of the last six seasons with Burke on staff, including all four of Subramaniam's All-American awards (2019, 2020, 2022, 2023), along with two-time honoree Wen Li Lai (2022 and 2024), and Xin Ying Yee (2025).

After defeating No. 5-ranked Virginia in the consolation semifinals of the Potter Cup, the Cornell men's squash team finished sixth in the final national rankings — its highest standing under the guidance of David Palmer, the James Broadhead '57 Head Coach of Cornell Squash.

Originally joining the Big Red as a volunteer assistant coach in February 2019, Burke was elevated to assistant coach in October 2019 before being promoted to his current role as associate head coach.
