Megan Wagenet joined the Big Red athletic training staff in 2001. With her dual certification in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy, her primary responsibility is providing physical therapy care to Cornell’s students, faculty and staff. In addition, Wagenet lends her expertise to assist in the rehabilitation of the Big Red varsity athletes and covers varsity events on an as-needed basis. She also serves as approved Clinical Instructor to the Athletic Training and Physical Therapy programs at Ithaca College and SUNY Upstate.
Wagenet is a 2000 graduate of Ithaca College, where she earned her degree in Clinical Science. Following her undergraduate degree, she earned her master's in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2001. During her time with the Big Red, she has provided direct coverage to the women’s ice hockey team, men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, men’s and women’s track and field programs, as well as the varsity football program.
She has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2004 and an APTA Certified Physical Therapist since 2001. Wagenet is also a McKenzie MDT trained clinician. A native of Ithaca, she lives in her hometown with her husband Tyler (T.R.), daughter Natalie and son Ryan.
