  • Assists with rules interpretations, rules violation investigations, and waiver and violation drafts and submissions by completing research via NCAA and Ivy League manuals, interpretations, case precedents, educational columns, and other resources within LSDBi and RSRO.  
  • Facilities the eligibility certification processes, including the review and facilitation of incoming student eligibility (transfer and first years) and continuing eligibility for returning student-athletes. Communicates eligibility concerns with the eligibility liaisons in the Office of University Registrar, coaches and student-athletes.  
  • Serves as the primary administrator for the department’s compliance software, Teamworks Eligibility & Recruiting. Works to enhance its features and trouble-shoots any issues that arise.  
  • Reviews recruiting and CARA activity that is flagged by the Teamworks software.  
  • Work directly with functional areas throughout the department (Ticket Office, Sports Communication, Strength & Conditioning, etc.) and office across campus (Registrar’s Office) to ensure compliance with ever-changing rules and regulations.  
  • Supports the Sr. Deputy AD and Associate AD with the creation and improvements of institutional compliance protocol and procedures for monitoring and ensuring adherence to NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations.  
  • Maintains written educational materials, website content, and the Athletic Compliance Office’s policies and procedures. Distributes timely updates and guidance to coaches and athletic department staff.  
  • Conducts educational sessions and trainings for coaches, student-athletes, and alumni groups.   
  • Answers questions for constituents regarding NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations.  
  • Serves as the institution’s Transfer Portal Contact. This role includes entering student-athletes in the Transfer Portal during the appropriate windows, updating participation information and working with other institutions to ascertain information for students transferring to Cornell.    
  • Supports the Institution's NIL efforts by reviewing disclosures to ensure that NIL deals proposed by student-athletes meet the institution’s NIL policy and will not negatively impact their eligibility.  Â
