Prior to Cornell

Lorimer comes to Cornell after serving as the helmsman of a 49er Skiff, gaining Olympic Class experience at the 2022 European Championship, the 2023 Princesa Sofia Regatta & Allianz World Cup, and finishing sixth at the US Olympic Trials in 2024. Lorimer and his Olympic sailing partner, Casey Cabot, documented their events and regatta notes on their website, here.

Prior to taking on the Olympic circuit, Lorimer worked with Steve and Heidi Benjamin on the TP52 Spookie Racing Program, executing administrative duties for the program, including organizing the logistics of luxury motor yachts, sailing vessels, and towing vehicles across the East Coast and internationally. While working with Spookie, he spent time with Etchells as well, serving as the Main Trimmer & Tactician.

In his collegiate years, Lorimer spent three years sailing with the Boston University Sailing Team and served as captain in his senior season. He was named the A Division skipper at the Truxtun Umstead Regatta and the Hewitt Trophy and served as a reserve at the College Fleet Race National Championship during his time.
