PRIOR TO CORNELL

Before joining the Big Red, Jones embarked on many endeavors in the industry of sports, finance, and broadcasting. Some of Jones’ accomplishments include, but are not limited to, earning a Super Bowl championship as a player in 1996, two All-Pro selections (1994, 1995), a pro bowl selection (1993), being the youngest NFLPA representative in league history, did television and radio broadcasting with Turner Sports, FOX, and ESPN, and served as a sports and financial executive in numerous capacities.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE
As a player, Jones played his collegiate career at Northeastern University, where he lettered for four years. After beginning his stint as an offensive lineman, Jones moved to defensive line for the final two years of his time with the Huskies.

Jones was a second-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Raiders in the 1984 NFL Draft, where he would go on to play for three seasons. In his final season with the Raiders, Jones collected a career high 15.5 sacks and 74 tackles.

Following a career-high campaign, Jones was traded to the Houston Oilers for the ninth overall pick in the draft. He went on to earn 50 sacks during his six-year stint with the Oilers.

After testing the free agent market in 1994, Jones ultimately decided to join forces with Hall of Fame defensive lineman Reggie White on the Green Bay Packers. In three seasons in Green Bay, Jones won the 1997 Super Bowl and was a two-time All-Pro. He completed his NFL career with 113 sacks and 601 tackles.
