Wade Ward

Wade Ward comes to us from Cincinnati, Ohio where he grew up playing tennis and later returned to teach and coach tennis. Wade has 30+ years of tennis experience. He grew up playing, competed in the NCAA at the University of Toledo, went on to coach college-level athletes at the University of South Alabama while getting his Masters in Public Administration, and then returned home to Cincinnati, Ohio and coached at his high school alma mater, Indian Hill High School.

Wade coached Indian Hill’s varsity men’s tennis team for 9 seasons, winning 2 Ohio state tennis championships during that time (2022 and 20242). He also coached the women’s varsity tennis team for five seasons, also winning two Ohio state championships during his time as head coach (2023 and 2024). Wade has won numerous Coach of the Year awards during his reign at Indian Hill and was just recently named the 2023 Ohio Girls Tennis Coach of the Year by the National Federation of High School Coaches.

Wade also worked at numerous tennis facilities and country clubs in the Cincinnati area. He is passionate about developing and empowering athletes, fostering a positive and supportive team culture, and achieving outstanding results. He is excited to bring his skills and experience to Cornell
