Stephanie Comon, a two-year letter winner for the Big Red, has joined the volleyball staff for the 2010 season as a team manager. Comon’s main duties will consist of filming games and editing player and opponent footage.
As a member of the Big Red, Comon saw action in 39 matches, playing in 116 sets as a defensive specialist. She posted 143 digs (1.23 digs per set) over the course of her career and also tallied 29 service aces.
Comon came to East Hill following a solid prep career at Bishop Montgomery high school, where she was a two-year varsity starter and team captain as a senior. Her play earned her South Bay Athletic Club all-star honors as a senior. A scholar-athlete award winner in both 2004 and 2005, she was given the 2005 Black & Gold Award. Comon’s team placed second at the 2004 Volleyball Festival.
Comon is completing her undergraduate coursework in the College of Engineering.
